Friday 29th March

In the first 3 months of 2024, I have cycled thousands of miles, for health, trips to the grocery store and pharmacy, and I’ve even written several songs while riding my bike! Want to feel good and donate now without reading anymore? Great! Click here to go to my fundraising page

This week, I repaired a bike for my family so they can ride too. I am fundraising for the incredibly successful non-profit, The Ocean Cleanup. Founded 10 years ago by Boyan Slat, they are on a course to remove all floating plastics from the rivers and oceans of the world by 2040. That goal is 16 years away, which still feels really far, but certainly achievable, especially if we all vow to reduce our use of single use plastics and continue to pass laws that support this endeavor. It’s Earth month, and you can also help by signing the Plastic Treaty from EarthDay.org here.

One of the reasons I am seeking funds to help “The Ocean Cleanup” now is that if they can scale up what they are already doing, they have the potential to remove all the plastic from the world’s ocean much faster than their current projections. I have only used a car a handful of times this year and therefore, have used very little in fossil fuels. Your donation to my fundraiser will go directly to the ocean cleanup on behalf of my efforts to bike every day until I reach my goal. I will post photos and updates of my cycling here.

You are also welcome to join my team by adding your own page here. Thank you for your donations to help Boyan Slat and his teams clean the oceans!

Thank you! 🙏🌎🌊🐠🌊🦈🌊🦑🌊🏄‍♂️💙
